“They Ran Off to Europe Together”: HR Reps Share the Different Office Scandals They Have Seen on the Job

Starting a relationship with someone at work is almost never a good idea. In some cases, an inter-office romance can be a policy violation. Other times, it can be straight-up awkward, especially if you break up. This person worked at a place where the company founder and the head of Human Resources struck up a relationship. It did not end well.    

All good things must come to an end, so these two eventually broke up. After the romance fizzled, the founder and the rest of the company found out the head of HR lied about the qualifications on her resume. This bad news was immensely entertaining for our storyteller, who got to watch as she packed up her office while her CEO ex-boyfriend ignored her. Ouch.
