#2: Telling Secrets
Now, if there’s another thing that kids are not great at, it’s keeping secrets. If you tell them something in confidence, you can be reasonably certain that, at some point, they are going to repeat that to someone who probably shouldn’t hear it.
But really, that’s your own fault for expecting a child to keep your secrets. If you really don’t want your wife to know you’ve been eating ice cream at three in the morning, here’s an idea: wash your own dishes, instead of hoping that when she’s forced to clean up after you, she somehow fails to notice what it is that she’s cleaning.
