#10: Spelling Bee
This one was awe-inspiring until Minerva’s brain turned sideways and asked a silly question. I bet it still haunts her on a regular basis. In her defense, Swedish last names are difficult, and you do need to be a relatively good speller to get them right.
Seriously, they have extra letters that many Americans would leave out. Take a look at these and tell me you’d spell them right just by hearing them: Eriksson, Johansson, Bjorklund, Blomqvist, Andersson, Berggren… I’d probably assume she was Swedish as well, just not for her spelling skills. I’m still giggling over that.
