#49: That’s Not Too Bad
Adam gets a pass. He had some serious ear trouble going on. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had asked him for his bp and he had tried to pee in a cup. Thankfully, he only missed one crucial word, and his answer was self-explanatory. That’s the best kind of mishap. Seriously, though, Adam, how tall are you? I’m going to guess 5’11”.
I’m often surprised that nurses and doctors can’t take one look at people and tell. You’d think their brains would start to gather that information after asking people all day long. Self-reported height is already a problem. Everyone adds half an inch, at least! I can’t wait for a nurse to raise her brow at me skeptically and say, “No, you aren’t 5’6”.”
