In all honesty, it probably sounded exactly like they said potty. Somehow, Bostonian accents manage to make car rhyme with spa. As someone from the south, I’d have answered the same way, though I’d probably have asked where it was for later use. Knowing where the bathroom is located is valuable knowledge, especially on the beach.

Hopefully, Jay took them up on their offer and had a great time partying the night away on the beach. Maybe he even learned a bit about how to speak with a Boston accent! That would make for a fun time, especially after a few drinks. I’d be curious what they called a potty, for sure.
