#7: Manners Matter
Any food service worker will tell you that manners are a big deal when it comes to customer service. If you come into a restaurant or cafe with a stinky attitude, the employees you interact with won’t do you any favors. This cafe turned that universal truth into a joke with this sidewalk sign.

The math is simple. If you come in and order with a smile and complete sentences, you will get your small coffee for a sweet $1.75. If you don’t? Well, you’ll pay Starbucks prices for that small cup of coffee. We like to call it the “rude customer tax.” We love it when being polite and nice pays off.
