Have you ever stopped to think about how all those Halloween costumes we wore as kids have actually prepared us for this pandemic? I mean, sure, we might have looked like a weird mix of superheroes and animals, but those masks were no joke! While the rest of the world is struggling to get used to wearing surgical masks, we’re basically pros at this point.

We wore those restrictive masks for hours on end while running around the neighborhood, trick-or-treating for candy. And let’s be real; we looked darn good doing it. So cheers to us, the Gen Xers who have been rocking masks since before it was cool. We might not be able to save the world from a deadly virus, but we can definitely make wearing a mask look good.
