Give Them Space
As important as it is for kids to feel safe and know that they can try things when they’re ready, sometimes it seems like kids these days could benefit a little more from the kind of parenting we received as Gen X. Sure, we might be a little rough on the edges, but that’s what makes us great.
That poor kid can’t even play by himself without his parents hovering over him like helicopters. But hey, we get it. Safety is important, and we want to protect our little ones. But sometimes, we might be crossing the line into overprotectiveness. It’s a fine balance between keeping our kids safe and letting them experience the world on their own.
