#28: Wonderful Watermelon
Watermelon is the quintessential summer treat. It is perfect for eating outside at a picnic or a barbecue, because it is cool and refreshing and quenches your thirst on a hot summer day—and also because it’s hard and super messy to eat, so it’s better if you’re outside and it doesn’t matter that you’re spilling watermelon juice and seeds all over.
But this watermelon is the solution to all of these problems. That it doesn’t have any seeds isn’t that surprising; seedless watermelons have been a thing for a long time. No, what I’m excited about is that the red part seems to go all the way to the edge, so it would be super easy to just slice the peel off, and then you don’t have to make a massive mess trying to gnaw the red part away from the rind.
