#2: That’s Ought to Keep the Vampires Away
Here is the problem with a lot of recipes: any time they give you a measurement such as “two cloves of garlic,” what in the world does that mean? How big is a standard clove of garlic? What if my garlic is smaller than your garlic?
Or what if my garlic is, like this, the size of about a dozen normal cloves of garlic? I hope that an experienced cook would know how to respond, but can you imagine a first-time cook who’s never seen garlic before going “All right, they’re both going in the pot!”
