What’s In a Name?
The Bible is a familiar book to most, and it happens to contain many interesting names within it. However, have you ever paused to consider where the name “Bible” itself comes from? If you’re like most, you probably have no idea of this common term’s origin.

The word “Bible” comes from the Greek word “ta biblia,” which translates directly to mean “the books.” When we trace that word back, we find that it comes from an ancient city called Byblos. Fittingly, Byblos was the top paper supplier in the world at the time. We think that makes it a deserving name, don’t you?
