#16: Xbox or Insulin?
When it comes to medical necessities, certain things should be covered by the state… Everyone deserves universal healthcare, not just the people that can afford to pay for it. But what are you meant to do when you need to take life-saving medicine once a week, but it costs the same as a new Xbox every time you buy it?
Nothing about this situation is fair, yet this is the reality of this person’s situation… How is someone meant to deal with the recurring cost of just keeping themselves alive without help from some sort of universal healthcare body? Instead of funding big companies to help them advertise their products, maybe the people in charge should be subsidizing life-saving medicine?
