#27: Floridian Outback
The world is full of misnomers, and some are more blatant than others. The famous Outback Steakhouse restaurant chain is a prime example of a misnomer that goes a bit too far. Although the name implies that this chain is Australian, or at least has some minor tie to Australia, nothing could be further from the truth.
Rather than hailing from down under, the creators of this restaurant are from Florida and had never visited Australia when they started their business. Hopefully, they have paid a visit since then, but it is safe to assume that the food you get at Outback is not an accurate representation of true Australian cuisine.
