#3: A Deadly Coincidence
Have you ever felt like a bad luck charm? Sometimes, our mere presence alone seems enough to cause misfortune. Such was the case for Abraham Lincoln’s son, Robert Todd Lincoln. Robert is not all that well-known today, but it appears he went on an odd streak during his life.
Robert Todd Lincoln was present at three presidential assassinations in a row. The first was his father’s, but he was also nearby when Presidents Garfield and McKinley were killed as well. After the third instance, Robert vowed not to attend presidential events. Whether it was bad luck or not, being the common factor in three separate assassinations is not a good look.
