#14: That Time Karens Ruined Halloween
Believe it or not, parents are very conscious of people who don’t want to participate in trick or treating. If your light is off, we won’t let our kids knock. What’s most shocking about this post is the suggestion that people need to name-drop at the gate to trick or treat in your neighborhood.
Have you even talked to your neighbors about it? If it’s that much of a problem, maybe you guys can just close the gate with a sign that says “Closed for Halloween.” It sounds like you live in a nice neighborhood. Don’t you want to be the house that gives out full candy-sized candy bars and puts a massive smile on mini-Spider-Man’s face?
