#40: The Truth Behind the Hindenburg Explosion
There is no denying the devastation that comes from certain accidents… Most of the time, accidents happen in a split second, inferring that there generally isn’t much evidence or even a photographic record of them occurring in the first place, especially not 80 years ago…

The fact that this photo even exists is crazy in and of itself, considering the Hindenburg explosion occurred in 1937… This airship intended a fancy, quick and comfortable travel across the Atlantic Ocean, however, the hydrogen-filled blimp burst into flames, killing 35 of the 100 passengers. It was determined in 2013 that a thunderstorm was responsible for creating static electricity inside the airship and causing the explosion.
