No Shoes in the House
We’ve all heard the age-old rule about taking off your shoes when you enter someone’s home, right? Well, it turns out there’s actually some pretty solid science behind that little piece of etiquette. According to this Reddit user, wearing your outdoor shoes indoors can track in all kinds of gross stuff – think dirt, bacteria, and who knows what else – that can really mess with your indoor air quality.
Not to mention, it’s just plain rude to walk around someone’s living space with muddy, dirty shoes on. This should also apply to your own home. I never get people who want to wear outside shoes inside the house, anyway. There’s no way that’s comfortable! That’s what house slippers are for.
