#39: A Mismatched Sink
We understand the need to save money and time, especially when it comes to home renovation. But there are some things that shouldn’t be skimped. For example, we recommend paying full price for a matching faucet and sink. If you buy mismatched items, you’ll end up in a situation like this.

There is the tiniest gap between the faucet and the sink. Naturally, that’s the place where all the dust and grime congregates. Only the tiniest of Q-tips can fit in there. Even then, we’re not sure that tiny hole can be completely cleaned and sanitized. Just pay the extra money for a matching set. It’s not worth the headaches down the road.
