5. The Schedule is On the Door
That’s one way to reduce arguments. Promise the kid their turn to be first is tomorrow, and they are more likely to wait patiently. It’s little systems like this that can help bring a nice, orderly feeling to the household.
There will always be a dash of chaos, but having some degree of order and routine is really helpful for kids’ well-being–or any of us, really, but with a child, you’re helping them start right. You’d be surprised how much of a sense of security this kind of order would bring them, contributing to their overall happiness.
