#30: Paper Diet
Eating paper may seem bizarre, but this person is right about its calorie content; it’s remarkably low in calories. Paper primarily comprises cellulose, a complex carbohydrate that humans cannot digest for energy. Instead, our bodies lack the necessary enzymes to break down cellulose effectively. So, when you consume paper, you’re essentially ingesting indigestible fibers.

This means you’d have to consume an astronomical amount of paper to reach any significant calorie intake. To reach the daily recommended intake of 2,000 calories, you’d have to eat an astonishing 1,888,000 pieces of paper. It’s safe to say that paper is not a viable source of nutrition and should never be considered a food option… and this begs the question: why would anyone even think of eating paper?
