We don’t really know a lot about black holes – for obvious reasons – but we do know a few things. For example, if you get sucked into a black hole, people wouldn’t actually see this. Instead, they’d see you become more and more redshifted until you finally disappeared. Per the submitter below, this is a useless fact now, but who knows what the future holds!

The whole thought of getting sucked into a black hole is definitely creepy. This “redshift” talked about is what happens when anything gets sucked into a black hole. Basically, because of the very powerful gravitational pull black holes have, light from the objects sucked in becomes stretched to very long wavelengths before disappearing into the hole completely.
