#25: A Mold-Ready Shower
House flippers are notorious for overhauling houses with cheap vinyl floors, gray paint, and monochromatic tiles. While it looks clean, it also looks boring. Renovated houses tend to have this specific look about them in an attempt to appear fancy and more expensive. The truth of the matter is that most of these renovations aren’t high quality.

This renovated bathroom may look nice at first glance, but there are several things wrong with it. First off, the shower door is basically non-existent. That tiny sliver of glass only covers one-third of the shower. The water will go everywhere when the showerhead turns on! Secondly, the floor of the shower isn’t that big. That means the water from the shower will ooze onto the wooden or vinyl flooring. It’s the perfect recipe for mold.
