A 23-foot iron pillar stands in the middle of the ancient Qutb Complex in Delhi, India, and it never seems to rust. Considering its age, many people were convinced it was resistant to rust. But after some exploration, it was discovered that the materials it’s made of actually do most of the work. We know it would be much cooler if this were some crazy circumstance.
