#32: Sure, An “Eco-Box”
Oh, the irony of this packaging. Someone was perusing their local Target when they came across a new product from Tide. They were intrigued until they noticed the giant irony behind the packaging. The laundry detergent is advertised as “plant-based,” an eco-friendly alternative to regular detergent. However, the entire “eco-box” is wrapped in plastic.
Sure, the cardboard box might be recyclable but the plastic around it sure isn’t. Products like this detergent are usually wrapped in plastic to avoid major losses. If a bottle of detergent breaks, the leakage is contained to just one box instead of a whole pallet of product. We get it, but maybe they shouldn’t advertise their packaging as “eco.”
