#38: A Bagged Lunch
Back in the day, kids would take their lunch to school in a paper bag. This modern-day cafeteria lunch is completely wrapped in plastic. Like most school lunches, it doesn’t look very appetizing. A teacher saw this lunch first-hand after their school implemented a new free food program and had to share the reality with the internet.
Most school cafeterias get their pre-cooked food from major food distributors. As a result, most of the food is wrapped in plastic. It’s something that is completely out of the school’s hands. At least this lunch has some healthy elements, such as apple slices and carrots. This is an imperfect situation where you have to take the good with the bad.
