#31: Mind Readers
That’s another thing about detectives in movies. They seem to know everything without actually having to learn that information. They just magically know things, and they understand everything so quickly. Are they mind readers? How can they know everything they need about the case without actually reading the entire file?
And then they have these lightbulb moments and ground-breaking realizations. We get that some detectives are probably very talented and do their jobs well, but we can’t imagine that real-life detectives actually solve cases based on gut feelings and magical lightbulb realizations.
