#37: The New Kid Trope
There are many movie tropes about the “new kid” in school. Sure, starting a new school is a big deal, but it’s somehow always amplified in movies. The new kid somehow always joins after the school year has started, and on their first day, they arrive mid-lecture and get an awkward introduction from the teacher/professor.
