Before smartphones offered us instant up-to-date information on current news topics, we had to rely on good old-fashioned TV and radio. Local news stations would schedule morning and afternoon airtime or emergency broadcasts for urgent matters.
It seems time doesn’t matter on TV, nor does regularly scheduled TV programming. As soon as a character gets a phone call to turn on the news, they simply turn the TV on, and Bam, here is the story they need to hear. No need for a channel button on the remote. It must be nice, right?
