23. Now Those Are Some Big Salads
On a hot day, what can be more refreshing of a meal than a giant, fresh salad? That must have been the mindset with both of these salads. One is a Cobb Salad, created in the US. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper American salad if it wasn’t also loaded with bacon, turkey, eggs, and cheese. Would you like some protein with your protein?
Over in France, there is the Niçoise (pronounced Ni-Swaaz) Salad. Surprisingly similar to the Cobb salad in presentation, it also contains a generous helping of proteins in eggs and tuna, though instead of avocado and bleu cheese, it usually has asparagus and potatoes along with its base. Either looks good here. Summer meals for the win!
