#32: A Mouthful
Here is another example of pretty smart packaging, though one could be led to believe that the target audience is squirrels and not human beings. In fact, this kind of marketing does provide the unsuspecting observer with a paradox that I’ve rarely encountered on a supermarket shelf.
On the one hand, if these walnuts are meant for human consumption, then why are they pictured in a squirrel’s mouth? But if the design is meant to entice squirrels, then they probably shouldn’t be sold in a supermarket that the squirrel population doesn’t tend to frequent. I’ll leave the conundrum up to you.
