38 Photos No One Asked for But Are Quite Interesting Nonetheless

This may look like some futuristic vehicle (although the superb lighting seems to indicate some sort of art exhibit), but it’s actually behind the scenes with some older technology. This is what the insides of a mechanical calculator look like without the plastic shell that usually surrounds and enfolds them.

One thing is for sure: high-tech or low-tech, this looks like a very complicated machine, and I can’t make heads or tails of the various gears and cogs that make it up. So, I will stick to using calculators as I don’t think I will be able to build one anytime soon.
