#13: It’s Called Personal Grooming for a Reason
Whether it’s your life partner, your roommate, or your mom, we all know that living with others can be a challenge, especially when it comes to personal hygiene. But there’s one thing you can do to keep the peace: keep your grooming to yourself. That means no clipping your nails in the living room, no brushing your hair in the kitchen, and definitely no flossing at the dinner table (seriously, ew).
Instead, save your personal grooming for the privacy of your own bedroom or, preferably, bathroom. Not only will it keep your housemates from gagging, but it’s also a common courtesy. After all, nobody wants to see your toenail clippings flying across the room or your hair clogging up the sink. So be considerate and keep your grooming to yourself. Your roomies (and your floors) will thank you.
