We’ve never actually considered it this way, so we’re thankful to this coffee shop for pointing that out! In a way, honey is bee vomit. We might start using that term around the house; it has a nice ring to it. Of course, that’s why some hardcore vegans don’t eat honey or try to avoid it as much as they can. Don’t give us that look; we’re only the messengers.
Although it may be confusing, honey is not bee vomit. Yes, it comes out from the bee’s mouth. But honey is the nectar bees collect from flowers using their long proboscis. They then store it in their special stomach (known as “honey stomach”), separate from their true stomach for digestion – so it’s not vomit.
