#28: Vampire Repellents
Some people call it garlic, others call it the best thing in the world, and some people call it vampire-repellent. Whether or not you’re a fan of garlic, you have to agree this is a brilliant name. We’ve seen people call honey “bee vomit,” so why not this? Nothing is off-limits. But where did this myth come from, anyway?
We all know garlic is traditionally known for being a vampire repellent, but where and how did this myth start? Many theories surrounding this myth have to do with different diseases that were prominent around that time, such as rabies; people who suffered from these diseases suffered from extreme sensitivity to products with strong odors, such as garlic.
