Boo!
Looking at these matching tattoos, the first association that comes to mind is Yin and Yang. In Chinese philosophy, the ancient symbols represent two opposites: Yin is negative, dark, and feminine, while Yang is positive, bright, and masculine. According to Chinese philosophy, these opposites complete each other and the interaction between them maintains the harmony of the universe.
To us, these black and white ghosts seem like a funny, quirky interpretation of the Yin and Yang philosophy. We might be making this up, and it’s quite possible that there is no profound meaning behind this father-daughter tattoo – perhaps these ghosts are supposed to be cute little ghosts and nothing else. Either way, we like the simplicity of this tattoo, and the execution is not half bad.
