#32: The Common Utility Pole
Did you know the scientific name for dandelion is actually taraxacum? It doesn’t sound as romantic, that’s for sure. Scientific plant names are fun to learn, especially when you find out that common plants around you have more interesting names.
The owners of this garden are pretty clever with their absolutely adorable little plant labels. The funny part is that they also labeled the power line. “Polus utilitatis” has a tall trunk and electrical wires for branches. It stays brown year-round.
