Her conviction, strong enough to navigate the snail to a veterinary clinic for a microchip scan, mirrors the human penchant for finding significance in the seemingly insignificant.
Humoring her, the clinic staff played along, engaging in a ritual that, while fruitless in its intended aim, succeeded in affirming the depths of our imaginations and the lengths we’ll go to seek validation for our theories.
