Members Try to Abstain From Coffee and Tea
For most people, drinking coffee and tea is part of their everyday routine, but that isn’t the case for many LDS members. You might ask yourself, “Why on earth would they do something like that?” The answer is that Mormons steer clear of caffeine as a stimulant, believing it can mess with their health in more ways than one.
But it’s not just about physical health; Mormons also see it as a matter of spiritual well-being. They believe that indulging in caffeinated drinks can dampen their connection to something higher. So, next time you offer a Mormon a cup of joe, remember, they’ll kindly decline in the name of both body and soul.
