53. Worldwide Lactose Intolerance
Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone and their dog is lactose intolerant these days? Many people say that the number of people that experience issues with specific foods and dairy is much higher than it once was. And perhaps it is the food we eat, and the way that it is processed that affects us greatly these days.
According to this map, many parts of the non-western world experience lactose intolerance. Which is an interesting phenomenon to think about considering that our diets are rather different. Perhaps they rely less on dairy products, and when they do consume them they feel negatively affected.
