In case you haven’t noticed, dogs have a keen sense to know when something’s wrong. From signaling their owner that’s having health issues to saving someone from an accident, or barking to let you know a stranger is nearby, dogs truly have amazing senses.

There are rescue dogs, therapy dogs, service dogs, and K9 dogs that work for police departments. It’s been proven time and time again that dogs are very good at caring for their humans. This is why we’re excited to share a heartwarming tale about a tiny dog that saved a mailman’s life.
Cyndi Dawson shared a little story on Facebook about her tiny dog that saved a mailman’s life. Cyndi was sitting inside when her tiny dog started barking to alert her of something. It was rather clear that her little pooch wanted her to go outside.

Cyndi got out of bed after multiple attempts by her dog to get her to move. Her precious dog kept running from her bed to the front door barking. When Cyndi finally stood up and went to the front door, she saw something that she wasn’t expecting to see.
The local mailman and apparent family friend was unconscious in his mail truck that was currently crashed into her car in the driveway. Apparently, this mailman must have gone unconscious and hit their car, Cyndi shared that this mailman friend had been battling brain cancer but didn’t want to share anymore personal details about this subject.

So, this sweet little doggy knew that something wasn’t right and went to alert Cyndi so that she could get up and go outside to help this mailman. While the mailman survived, Cyndi later updated her status on Facebook with a comment that the mailman, Bill, had no recollection of the day before and that he learned his melanoma had traveled to his brain.
While we’re happy to share that this doggy saved the precious mailman’s life, this mailman is still in a battle with cancer so Cyndi asks that everyone please continue to keep Bill in your thoughts so that he can win this battle against cancer.
