#31: The Craigslist Lowballer
This hack takes a little effort, but it’s pretty genius. Someone shared how they get the best deals on Craigslist and other second-hand online marketplaces. If they find something they like online, they’ll use their spam account to send an insane lowball offer. This offer is so low it’s insulting.
Then, they log in with their regular email and send a more reasonable offer that’s still below the asking price. According to this anonymous tipster, they almost always get their reasonable offer accepted. This is a manipulative but genius way of scoring a deal, and we can’t help but be impressed.
