#2: Freshen Up Your Resume
Applying for jobs is the worst. No one likes “freshening up” their resume or writing a cover letter. It’s even more stressful if you’re changing careers or job hunting after a gap year. How do you sell yourself as the best of the best? An anonymous internet sleuth shared some valuable advice for all of us desperate job seekers out there.
First off, you can invest in a burner phone and list a fake person as a reference. Do employers even call those numbers, anyway? Who knows! Also, you can fudge your resume a little bit to make up for work history gaps. Simply say you were “freelancing.” It’s not a lie if it’s stretching the truth, right?
