#34: Former Rebels Struggle To Rejoin Society
After the peace deal with the FARC, thousands of ex-combatants tried to start new lives through government reintegration programs. Many opened small businesses or returned to farming, but weak funding and poor security left them vulnerable to threats from rival groups.

Some former fighters have been killed, while others have gone back to armed factions out of fear or desperation. Without consistent support, peace becomes fragile. For many of these men and women, trading weapons for normal life remains far more dangerous than expected.
