#11: Narco-Submarines Still Operate In The Pacific
Smugglers continue to build semi-submersible submarines to move cocaine from Colombia’s Pacific coast to Mexico and Central America. These homemade vessels can carry tons of drugs while evading radar, making them one of the cartels’ most effective smuggling tools.

Despite frequent interceptions, the trade goes on. New subs appear as quickly as old ones are seized. They’re built in remote jungle workshops, often with the help of corrupt local officials. For Colombia’s navy, tracking them is like chasing ghosts across thousands of miles of open sea.
