Underground Rock ‘n Roll
Mining, although rewarding, is a very risky profession. Being that many meters underground opens you up to a plethora of dangerous possibilities. But because the people that work there become so close working the sort of hours they do, they begin to form similar interests and hobbies.
The Shaft Bottom Boys, a rock ‘n roll mining group performed a very underground concert, 7200 feet to be exact. Held in support of Science North’s Science Camps and Miners for Cancer, they sold many tickets to the show and played for around 30 minutes. Not only is this pretty cool, but it was also for a great cause!
