Gas Troubles
Most people are aware of the gas/oil problem. There is little competition in the oil industry that would help drive prices down; it’s a finite, monopolized resource. Currently, electric cars have too much upfront cost for the average American. So even if Americans wanted a car option that didn’t rely on oil, many could not afford to switch.

One gas station owner sold gas 47 cents cheaper than he bought it, sacrificing profits in order to help his community. Considering the gas/oil industry has made trillions in profits for decades, at the expense of our planet and wallet, we encourage the oil industry to follow his example and take the hit.
