#17: Mae Questel as Aunt Bethany
Aunt Bethany steals every scene with her adorable confusion, unexpected comments, and unforgettable delivery of the Pledge of Allegiance at the dinner table. Her sweet but scattered personality brings a unique kind of charm to the film. She represents the lovable, eccentric relative every family seems to have during the holidays.
Long before joining the cast, Mae Questel had already enjoyed a remarkable career. She was best known as the original voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, making her an animation legend. By the time she appeared in Christmas Vacation, she was a beloved veteran performer with decades of entertainment history behind her.
