Every once in a while, you come across something surprising and delightful in your everyday life. Someone noticed a strange shape embedded in the asphalt by their house. They decided to take a closer look and were surprised to find an old hammer embedded in the street. The tool must have fallen on the ground when the street was first getting paved. 

This old hammer was doomed to lie in the asphalt for decades until it was no more. Over the years, the wooden handle disintegrated and left behind its shape in the asphalt. Leaves and other debris have filled in the void, but the metal hammer still remains. It’s interesting to see how an object can disintegrate if left out to the elements.
