50 Confusing Designs That Prove Some People Really Shouldn’t be Given So Much Power

The thing about interior design is that some of it is unnecessary. There. We said it. There are some designs that try too hard to reinvent the wheel. Take this chair design, for example. We all know what elements make a comfy chair. Soft cushions, a well-angled back, and soft fabric are all key design features that most of us look for in a good armchair. 

This chair looks anything but comfortable. It has nautical ropes laced around wood to serve as the armrests. There’s nothing like getting a painful rope burn as you sit down in your living room to watch TV. We don’t know why or how this chair exists, but we don’t like it.
