#11: Jean Harlow & William Powell
Jean Harlow and William Powell met in the mid-1930s at MGM, where their easy chemistry quickly became a studio favorite. Unlike many Hollywood romances, theirs was private and affectionate, centered around dinners, humor, and quiet companionship away from publicity.

Their relationship ended tragically when Harlow died suddenly in 1937 at just twenty-six from kidney failure. Powell was devastated and reportedly blamed the studio system for overworking her. He never fully recovered emotionally and remained closely connected to Harlow’s memory for the rest of his life.
